Hi, I'm Vera.

2D artist based in Montréal, I create colorful, story-driven worlds for animation and children's illustration. I love imagining backgrounds that tell a story, building warm atmospheres and bringing expressive characters to life. My style is colorful, energetic, sometimes touched with a bit of retro, and always guided by curiosity.

My path led me to explore several artistic disciplines: after a College Diploma in Visual Arts at Cégep de Saint-Laurent and a Bachelor's in Environmental Design at UQAM, I specialized in 2D Animation at Cégep du Vieux Montréal. That diversity still shapes how I approach an image today, from composition and color to world-building.

I draw a lot of my inspiration from small everyday details: an afternoon light, the pattern on a fabric, an old poster, a childhood memory, or a scene glimpsed on a street corner. I love observing what's around me and turning those fragments into images and stories.

And when I'm not drawing, I'm often outside. I love hiking, wide open spaces, and especially the seaside — with a particular fondness for Finistère, in Brittany.
